What is DAMA?

The Portland Metro Chapter of the Data Administration Management Association is a not-for-profit, vendor independent, professional association dedicated to advancing the concepts and practices of enterprise information and data resource management.

Our primary purpose is to promote the understanding, development and practice of managing data, information and knowledge resources as key enterprise assets.

Portland Metro Chapter members, guests and speakers meet a minimum of six times a year to widen their knowledge base in topics relevant to information and data resource management.

• No per meeting fees for attendance at Portland Chapter monthly meetings and significant discounts on DAMA International events and special programs.
• Corporate membership allows membership privileges to an unlimited number of employees.
• Affiliation with DAMA International. DAMA International is a world-wide organization dedicated to the promotion and support of Information Resource Management.
• DAMA offers discounts for corporate and individual members in conjunction with participating vendors, consultants and book publishers. Usually this translates into a 10%-20% savings.
• DAMA is not affiliated with any vendor, and is thus able to provide input and requirements to the vendor community, uninhibited by the complexities of any specific toolset, technique, or product.

Membership Information

There are two types of memberships available. All memberships provide the benefits listed above without paying the per person meeting fee.

• Individual -- annual membership dues are $75.00.
• Corporate --annual membership dues are $500.00.  Membership privileges extend to an unlimited number of employees.
