Stephen Brobst

Stephen Brobst is an international authority in the design and construction of data warehouse solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Stephen has authored numerous books, journal and conference papers in the fields of data management and parallel computing environments and is an internationally recognized speaker (and practitioner) in the area of breakthrough systems implementation.

His expertise is in the identification and development of opportunities for the strategic use of technology in competitive business environments. Over the past sixteen years Stephen has been involved in numerous engagements in which he has been called upon to apply his combined expertise in business strategy and high-end parallel systems to develop frameworks for data warehousing and data mining. Clients with whom he has worked include leaders such as Fidelity Investments, General Motors Corporation, VISA International, Vodafone, American Airlines, Blockbuster Entertainment, and many more.

Stephen Brobst is the Chief Technology Officer for NCR's Teradata Division. Prior to joining NCR, he successfully launched three start-up companies related to high-end database products and services in the data warehousing and e-business marketplaces. Stephen taught graduate courses at Boston University and the MIT. He performed his graduate work in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also completed an MBA with joint course and thesis work at the Harvard Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
